Camping Lido Tellina ... itinerari
The nearest city to the campsite is Manfredonia, which is known as the ‘Gateway to the Gargano’. Here you can visit the castle of King Manfredi, who gave his name to the city. The local museum is also worth a visit or you can simply wander around the historic city centre. From Manfredonia you can either go up into the mountains or along the marvellous coast road visiting the cities of Mattinata, Vieste and Peschici. You could also go on to Lakes Lesina and Varano.
The Gargano National Park is something else. As you walk along the paths in the middle of the Umbra Forest you will see wild boars or roe deer or pheasants. And you can have lunch at one of the many picnic tables. The Gargano is the perfect place to find fresh air, good food and unforgettable scenery.
